Suicide Blossoms, 2018
custom size (max A3) washi-papers
“Suicide Blossoms” consists of an envelope and eight objects which are usually used for suicide. In the work, these objects open and turn into flowers. The work is about the potential poetic side of suicide or self-destructive behaviors, focused on how serious transformation and change can suggest something beautiful or empowering. It is placed statically on this table since the change can happen only with the active initiative of the reader/participant and doesn’t come as granted.
