のぼる一 (noboru one): genealogies, 2024
Part of ongoing collaboration with aliwen and Hanna Hirakawa
Laser-cut imitation leather, inkjet print, three mini bodhisattvas, specimen nails and hair gold, cassette tape, cassette player, photos, squishy glitter ball, painting of a void
Dimensions variable

In the second issue of the zine created by noboru collective, we sought to reflect upon our bloodlines and the possibilities of queer family as a form of healing. Combining photography, intimate messaging, and poetic wordplay, the zine brings together experiences of intergenerational trauma, illness, healing, and belonging. In an exhibition in the anarchist-queer space NAMNAM, we dis-embodied fragments of the zine and their expansions through laser-cut skins, specimen nails, hair gold, photos, a squishy glitter ball, and a painting on voids.
